Lieberman Defeat, Speaks Volumes........

Last night's Connecticut Senatorial primary.....was an eye-opener to the Democrat party. Joe Lieberman's loss to newcomer Ned Lamont was definitely a thriller.........and it appears the rest of the party's leadership is coming around. Lieberman is truly a Republican Conservative in Democrat's clothing........I doubt very much that he even knows what it means to be truly Progressive.......since he voted on numerous occasions with the GOP and George W. Bush........His view of party unity is laughable....hence the display on the Senate floor of the debate on the Iraq non-binding resolution where he allowed himself to be used by the Republicans....in what seemed to be what he would call 'speaking from the heart" rather he placed a 'spear through the heart"of many a Democrat who was striving to send a message to the White House of what the people wanted. To end the occupation of Iraq and bring the troops home............Lieberman knew what the GOP were attempting to do.........the message they themselves were trying to send...in showing how fragmented the Democratic party is..............and he allowed it to happen willingly.........he is no Democrat...and to say he is running as an 'independent Democrat" well what the heck is that supposed to mean..........?
