Back From World-Wind Trip!!!!

Back home in Florida, from being back home in Connecticut!!!!! Hope I'm not confusing any thing by saying that. Like to recall the nostalgia of living in Connecticut........which really hasn't changed all that much. Thought I would see some old friends, but sadly, could not get in touch with them....since it was July 4th week...my friend Sue was probably away too! Yet I thought I told her we were coming up to Connecticut...maybe I just thought I did! Oh well.

Now the drive up to Connecticut, was an adventure in itself! Between trying to count the state licence plates to see how many different states were travelling on the highway at the same time..to my husband attempting to use his mathematical brain to calculate mileage, by having me write down the sums of the distance travelled within each of the approximately 9 states travelled. I could'nt find the time to take in the scenery! The weather was very good for travelling!!! And we did make good time!!!! Oh yeah!!!! would have made better time if not for that darn George Washington Bridge in New York City........bumper to bumper traffic all the way over the bridge into Connecticut!!!!! It took 4 hours to get over the bridge to Exit 18 in Connecticut...whih normally would take less than an hour!!!!
Then the low flying jetliners............watching them cruise by on their way to "someplaces unknown", and thinking......"How can the authorities allow them to fly so low over NYC after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the WTC?" Then I was reminded, they have to considering the airport is close by to the bridge......! yet!, still it was a very uneasy feeling! Then we arrived in Connecticut...no worse for wear.
