SO WHAT'S UP WITH THE GOP?

Appearantly, not too much...............Then again one cannot be too sure...But their Xenophobia sure is alive and well, no antedote has been found yet. Between English only, and Anti-Gay marriage....we need to slow down and take it easy. Aren't there more important things to be the topic of discussion or debate?! Like the ripping away at the U.S. Constitution, or the horrors of the invasion in Iraq? Maybe education or the cost of getting a loan for college...even the cost of college period!! maybe Global Warming........now thats something the GOP really understands,,,they say it "doesn't exist!"on almost a daily basis........and that is courtesy of their mouthpiece known as Fox News...the "Bastion of Disinformation". So what are they doing....blaming anything and everything on the Democrats..............what else would they be doing....???? Shameful!!!!!!! The Democrats are not in power.....YET!!!

Memorial Day Holday Weekend

Memorial Day usually means the beginning of summer.........school is out, BBQ's, beach fun, maybe a little camping if you like to camp...and get this a whole weekend of old classic Hollywood military movies.......some with John Wayne, Henry Fonda,Gene Autry, Frank Sinatra...ect, ect,.........and parades in honor of the people who have died for our country defending my right to post on this blog.................
So I am just sitting here while I type thinking about hamburgers, hotdogs, and the terrific potato salad I'm gonna be making....my mother's recipe she's made for years. Not having a picnic as such but will be BBQing with my family, while we watch all those classic military movies...........so heres to you all...have a great wonderful beginning to summer vacation.

Now we have to be concerned about our phone conversations being monitored as well as the internet and what library books we would happen to take out.........and what to the faint of heart have to say about it..........? "You should'nt worry if you have nothing to hide.......!" say what?...That really isnt the point.........I value my privacy very much...except maybe here on my blog were I can vent and say what I want and how I feel about it....but I control it...................and we the ones being 'spied" on are not the ones who have the say about what is right or wrong and whether or not we have anything to "hide".................so the folks who speak about allowing their privacy to be invaded should be concerned that their government is not above the law...............alas I am not so sure the government is or cares anymore...especially when it speaks that it is okay to break the law or go above it because or for the sake of "national security"....wow!!!! is that not lame? It is very scary to think the government can do these things , and not have any checks and balances...and nobody is held to account!!! Hypothetically speaking....my "national security" is my home...and if it is invaded and I use force like shoot the invader......I will be arrested....I can't use the same excuse the government can........and that is very very disconcerting..............so I hope the Dems on the Intel committee holds Gen. Hayden and the CIA and the government to account.
